INTRODUCTION

This focus of this project is the development of the state-of-art methods to analyze and evaluate the hydrologic and hydrogeologic characteristics of watersheds. The Lower Altamaha River Basin in south Georgia is selected as the pilot study area. Our objective is to develop GIS-integrated watershed modeling software for the basin. This study is a three-year research project supported by the Georgia Sea Grant College Program. The project has started in March 2000 and will continue till March 2003.
